  • Hi there,

If you know the current password for your account, you can change it by following these instructions below:

    Passwords

You can also change your password from the Settings tab on the WordPress.com home page:

    https://wordpress.com/me/security

If you don’t have access to your account or forgot the password, you can request a new password by entering your email address here:

    http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

Please carefully follow the instructions. You’ll receive an email during the reset process, so make sure that you read it for instructions. If you don’t receive the email right away, check your spam folder, as well, because the confirmation email can end up there.

Once you’ve reset your account password, you can see our suggestions for choosing a strong password here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/selecting-a-strong-password/

    Cheers,

This is a forum not Livechat. You no longer own that domain as you let it expire. It is currently in the redemption period. Staff may be able to restore it to your account but there are extra costs involved. This thread has been tagged for further staff assistance. In the meantime see: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/
PS: Your other option is to wait (weeks?) in case that the domain is eventually released. Then you could purchase it again elsewhere. There is always the strong possibility that it could be purchased by a domain squatter first though.

  • Thanks @themagicrobot :)

    @vavrakeramik
I can confirm your domain is in redemption because it was not renewed. It costs an extra $80 to renew right now, plus the original renewal fee. Would you like us to create an invoice for you?

You can read about domain redemption here:

    hej

I had my website with wordpress for at least 4 years and everything went automatically. But actually i was about to move my website and would only need to link the old one to the new one. How can i do it?

Also due to that problem my email doesnt work. That also needs to be linked to the new one.

So what do u recommend me to do?

    Regards

  • I had my website with wordpress for at least 4 years and everything went automatically.

We tried renewing your domain several times between 22 September and 22 October, but the transaction was denied by your credit card company. When this happened we sent you several emails, both before and after the domain expired, to tell you that you need to renew it.

But actually i was about to move my website and would only need to link the old one to the new one. How can i do it?

Right now you no longer own that domain, and you can’t do anything with it until the domain is renewed and restored to your account.

Also due to that problem my email doesnt work. That also needs to be linked to the new one.

If you had an email account tied to this domain that won’t work until the domain is redeemed and restored to your account.

So what do u recommend me to do?

If you still want to use the domain, marketakeramik.com, you have two options:

    1) You pay us the $80 redemption fee so that we can get the domain back for you, and renew it. Once the domain is back in your account, you will be able to transfer it somewhere else if that’s what you want to do.

    2) You wait for the domain to pass through redemption, which will take around a month. After redemption the registry will delete the domain, and release it. At that point it will be possible to register it again as a new domain, so then you can try to register it directly with the provider where you want to use it. However, if you choose this option there is a very big risk that you will lose the domain, because once it’s released anyone will be able to register it, and if someone else buys it before you can, they will become the new owners of the domain.

We recommend redemption, as that ensures you will remain the owner of the domain, and it can be working again within a few days.

However, also note that we can only redeem a domain for a limited time. If you wait too long to decide, you could end up losing the domain completely.

okay i would like to take your advice number one to:

    1) You pay us the $80 redemption fee so that we can get the domain back for you, and renew it. Once the domain is back in your account, you will be able to transfer it somewhere else if that’s what you want to do.

How can i pay the $80 ? Can just book of my account like wordpress used to do or do you want me to transfer it?

Please if you kindly can send a link with the details for the money transfer.

    Thank you
    Kind regards

  • Thanks for getting back to us. I have just contacted our domain partner so we just need to wait now. It usually takes less than 48h.
We’ll let you know as soon as the domain is back on your account.

    Hi Marketa,

We’ve heard back from our domain partner and the domain is now restored to your account and active again.

Please let us know if there is anything more we can do.

I wondered for how long? I have paid the restoration fee. Is it going to be working for a year now?

    Thanks
    Kind regards
