Password Not Saving

Two days in a row now when I try and log in on my WordPress account I recieve the error message that the password I am using is incorrect. The truth is that I accurately save all my passwords onto wordpad and double check that they work every time that I change them. So, the error is not on my behalf. Why does WordPress not save the passwords that I use?

That sounds strange. Have you tried using a password manager instead of WordPad? Password managers are usually much more reliable for saving passwords and some of them include browser extensions that will fill your username and password on your behalf so you won’t have to copy and paste your passwords anymore. Some of the well-known ones include:

Hello there,
Sorry about the trouble you’re having. Can you double-check if the passwords you’re copying off of WordPad don’t contain trailing spaces? This normally happens when passwords are highlighted and copied from a word processor. You may want to go for a password manager instead as what Rebeca suggested.

I always type my passwords out letter for letter but this time my password works properly so I guess this isn’t an issue anymore. Thank you for the responses.

Alright, I tried logging in today and once again, for the third day (out of four days since I created the account) the password that I had set for the account yesterday, and double checked to see if it worked… wasn’t valid yet again when I tried to login. There must be an error with my account! I’m changing my password again. What do I do if it continues to not save? What’s the point of having a password if it never saves?

Sorry to hear about your continuing troubles. Could you kindly try logging in using a different browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome?
Rest assured that your password is being saved and your account is error-free. When you login, it might help to check the “Stay signed in” option so that you wouldn’t have to enter your password every time. Let me know if you have any success logging in again. Good luck!

My password is not being saved. As you said it could be a browser error. I haven’t switched browsers yet but I’ll try experimenting with that in the next week. Thank you for your help, dreusome.
