password not working

  you put in your password but it is not working and know that is your password. you request to reset your password and the link asks you to put in your password, the password that not working. there is the possibility that the password that does not work was forgotten but if you put it in and it works then it was not forgotten, it was just not working. So, how do I get into my account if my password is not working?
