  How do I add a password to my blog so that only certain users can access my blog?

  There are two ways to password protect your blog:

  1. You can change your Privacy settings (Dashboard -> Settings -> Privacy) to Private and then add certain users as approved visitors to your blog:

  2. You can password-protect specific posts and pages by changing your Post Visibility:
     http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#password-protect-a-post
