password protect

  Hi!
  I’d like to password protect my blog so that only the people that i give the password will be able to read it. I know that I can set the blog as private and then invite certain users to read it, but that’s not a good solution for me. I just want the readers to have to write in a password and then get access to read the blog, but I dont want them to be logged in as a wordpress-user.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  I’m afraid password-protecting an entire blog is currently not possible. You said inviting users to a private blog is not an option since it requires a WordPress.com account, but what you can do is create specific password-protected posts or pages.

  It’ll be a bit of a hassle if there are many posts which need to be password protected, but it’s the only option in this case. Here’s a guide on how you can do this:
