Password Protect a Post Message
-
I found the button to set visibility of a post to protected, so that users are required to enter a password before viewing the post. WordPress gives a default message as follows before you enter the password
“This post is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:
Password:”
I was wondering if there is any way to change this message and how to do so if it is? I am running a free wordpress account and my blog is hosted on wordpress.com Thanks!

Please provide us a link to your wordpress.COM blog, and consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forums.

I believe this is the CSS code you’re looking for:
div.entry-content form,.center {
text-align:left;
} -
The message I’m pretty sure is defined in the underlying wordpress or theme files, and we do not have access to those files since this is a multi-user platform and any change to a theme would change it for everyone using that theme.

Hi all,
I am new to blogging. I am planning to set up a blog as my portfolio and allow only some people I give permission to view my site. Could you help me with this?
thanks so much.

A search of the new support documents for “password” brought this: http://support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/
