password protect a site

  hi,
  I have a site which is a private info pack/guide to a holiday resort in Italy. The info pack/guide is only given to clients who have rented a villa from us. Is it [possible to password protect a site. I’d like to give each client a different password, but a single password would do. I need it to be simple and would prefer that they don ‘t have to sign up for a wordpress account.

  Password protection for an entire site isn’t an option here. All you can do is Invite them as users to a private blog.

  The site linked to your name is not hosted at WordPress.COM and does not seem to be a WordPress anything. This site is for the support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM.

  If you are asking about a WordPress.COM site would you please post a link to that site so the help given to you is accurate.

  I was not able to find a link to any WordPress anything – hiding what you are asking about slows down the help.
