Password protect direct media/video URL

  Is there a way to password protect a media upload?

  I know how to make a page or post password protected, but I want to, (for privacy law reasons from my job) make even a direct link to a video in my media uploads password protected.

  So if someone were to type in the direct link to that media file, they’d have to enter a password.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  the url I need help with is wowinsync.org, not the automatic wordpress link in the first post. But this is more hypothetical.

  For example, I’d like this video (or one like it) to be password protected when you go to the direct URL: http://www.wowinsync.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/DavonVideo.mov

  Just as an example.
