password protect mature content?
-
Hello,
Question: on my blog i want to be able to add mature/explicit content, however in a way that it just can be viewed by ppl who choose to do so. So i am thinking: is it an option to password protect those entry’s and add a note to the ‘about’ section that if ppl are interested they can request the password?
Will it get me into trouble anyway with WP if i post erotic art, even when password protected?
Any other suggestions?
Thank you all in advance ;-)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
If mature content is present on your blog, it will, at most, be flagged as ‘mature’. Even if you do not password-protect such content, this won’t get you into any sort of trouble with WordPress per se. Once your blog is flagged as mature (which will happen soon enough), it will only be less visible around WP, meaning it won’t show up on other people’s dashboards, or among the “related posts”. But it will be present, and anybody who wants to read it, can read it.
Rules aside, however, if you decide to password-protect mature content and post the password on your ‘about’ page, it essentially makes the content accessible to all. Though it is surely a more responsible thing to do.
Hope this helps.

Password-protect is on the right-hand side of teh Write page. And if you password-protect your adult content, it’s unlikely your whole blog will be flagged Mature. If it is, you can appeal that.
