Password Protect my Entire Blog?

So the blog I am currently working on is for a small business that wants the blog to password protected but not private. The company wants to grant access to a variety of different investors/mentors (about 30 people) to let them know what is going on in their day-to-day activities, but the only option WordPress has given is the option to password protect individual pages or posts instead of the entire blog. Given that the investors/mentors that want to see the blog aren’t wordpress customers and won’t likely sign up for an account and the information provided on the blog is semi-confidential, is there any way I can password protect my entire blog instead of just individual posts or pages?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Howdy,

No, the Private blog option is your best bet. You can invite them using their e-mail address and they can create a login through the invitation link.

It’s perfectly fine, as far as we’re concerned, for them all to have user accounts only for the purpose of logging into your blog.

The added benefit is if, for whatever reason, if one of the individuals should no longer have access to the site, you can disable their specific access without having to juggle a new password around to everyone else.

    Thanks!
