Password Protect my Site?

  Hello – I understand that I can make my site private and then approve individual users to access it. My understanding, though, is that they must have a WordPress account in order to do this. Ideally, I’d like to set up a private set with a password that I can give to family and friends so that they may access my site without having to setup their own account to do so. Is this an option? Thank you!!

  You can create a WordPress.com account, authorize it to view your site and give it to your friends and family.
