Password protect section of the site

    Is there a way to password protect a parent page, and have all of the children pages password protected underneath that one firewall? This is on wordpress.com not .org

    Hi there. You can’t password protect a section of your site, no. You can only password protect individual posts and pages.

    If you password protect a parent page you’ll also have to manually password protect the child pages. You can use the same password for all the pages, but visitors will need to re-insert the password on every new page the first time they visit it.

    The password is saved locally in their browsers, so the next time they visit those pages they won’t have to enter it again, provided they’re using the same computer and browser, have cookies enabled, and haven’t cleared the cache between visits.
