Password Protected Area – Ixion

I want to have a password protected parent page where members would need a password to access the page. I would then have ‘child’ pages within this section that only the members could see. How do I do that?

    The site is: https://thebattlefordspickleballclub.wordpress.com/

The page, ‘Pickleball Canada Insurance’ should be in the member area.
    Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

It is possible to create a password protected parent page with child pages that are only accessible to users who have the password.

    To start with –

    1. Create a parent page and password protect it.
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/

    2. Now create child pages and password protect them as above.
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-options/

    3. Use the same password to protect the child page as you used for the parent page.

If you have multiple pages with the same password, the user will only have to enter the password once, and not for subsequent pages with the same password.

If a user directly tries to access the child page, he has to enter the password. If a user opens the parent page and enters the password and then clicks to access the child page, no password is required.

    4. We can make use of List pages shortcode to display the child pages on the parent page.
Eg. Use [child-pages] shortcode on the parent page and it will list all of the child pages.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you. I’m happy to help.
