password protected blog

    hi ! I am struggling to make my wordpress blog password protected. I managed to download the plugin you recommended on your forum (password protected plugin by Ben Huson) but I cannot unsip the file on my pC. It appears in my downloads but I can’t open the file. Can you please help ?

    Hi there. That plugin won’t work for your WordPress.com blog as we can’t use plugins on WordPress.com. You can only use them on self-hosted WordPress.org websites.

    There is no way on WordPress.com to make an entire blog password-protected. Your only option to control who can view your blog and who not is to set it to private. Then only people you invite will be able to view it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
