Password Protected Blog & Privacy

Hi Ladies/Gents. I’ve been reading the forums…they are very helpful. Just had a few questions for you in particular:

I do not want any material from my blog to be in search engines. So I have selected: I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors. I have also made every single post on my blog password protected (I use my blog for family members/family photos). My goal here is that the only people that will have access to content on my blog will be those that have the passwords for each post. Since I am doing this, I just want to be sure that there is no other way possible any of my family photos/posts could make their way to be public or especially to a search engine?

Also, a family member said that once she enters the password for one of my posts, her computer automatically saved the password so she never has to enter it again. I tested it on my computer and it did the same thing. Does this mean that once the password is entered by someone on a computer, they won’t have to enter it again?

Thanks so much for your help it is very much appreciated!! :)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You could set your blog to “private” then invite the people you want to read your blog.
They would sign up for a WordPress account, then you would invite them by sending the invite to the email they used to sign up.

Setting passwords for each post may become a problem after a few posts: how will anyone remember the passwords? And if you use the same password for every post, then decide to exclude someone, you’d have to change all your posts.

If a friend or family member copied your pictures or text, it would be possible for them to publish then publicly. Best choose trusted reader only.

Browser remember passwords (cache), so people should clear the cache and cookies after reading your posts. This is especially important if they use public computers, like at a library.
