Password Protected Blogs
-
We are trying to use Password protected blogs for an academic journal requirement. One of our students has had content made available through a search engine even though she had her journal protected under the options/privacy feature. Does this feature make blogs invisible to search engines? If it does not, is there anyway to secure blog entries only to those you select?

if your blog or post is protected it should not be visible to search engines. however, if you protected it only after publishing it, then there’s a chance the post appears in the search engines before being protected. if you have a password-protected blog, only people you invite can view it. for password-protected posts, you need to notify your readers of the password on your own.
