Password Protected Content

Hello Ctmock,
What is the website address you’re creating protected contents on?
It is possible to create a password protected page on WordPress with the use of plugins. However, you have to be on a paid plan to install a plugin on WordPress.
Best,

Hi there,
The WordPress software comes with a password-protection feature for posts and pages built in, and that feature is also supported here on WordPress.com. With this feature you set the password on individual posts and pages, and anyone who knows the password, can view the particular post or page.

If instead you want individual visitors to each have their own login for your site which gives them access to the content, you need to either set your entire site to private, and only invite the people you want to give access…

…or else you’ll need a membership site. Doing it properly requires a membership plugin, and that will need our Business Plan, but there’s also a workaround using a combination of a public and private site on our free plan.
