Password protected page does not work for IE8

  Hi, I’ve created a password protected page, which works fine in Firefox, but not in IE (8). I’ve tried clearing browsing history, turned off some security settings, nothing works… Has anybody experienced the same issues? Are there any solutions yet?

  You have to clear your cookies in IE8. For password protected post, when someone enters the password, then wordpress sets a cookie in their browser. From that point, till the person clears their cookies, they will not again have to enter the password to see that post.

  I have similar problem but my password protected page doesn’t work in Firefox 3.5 either. I created a page one level below the home page and while I can find it and edit it, I then can’t access it, either as preview or for real. Even if I remove the password precondition and make it public, I still cannot view it other than in the Editor. I have tried clearing the browser cache, but still cannot view it.
