password protected pages

  Hello!
  I’m wanting to password protect an entire page, and my default blog page, but it’s not working.

  I can protect individual blog posts, but not the whole page itself. It says it is protected in the page title (protected: blog) but shows all the contents and doesn’t ask for a password like the post pages do.

  Am I missing something? Is this even possible?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  Did you follow the steps given in the video in the below link:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/

  You can simply change the Visibility of any post or page by changing it’s status while in the editing mode of the post.

  re: password protecting you default blog page

  One cannot make the Blog page password protected. Although, you can make your posts password protected.
