Password protected post visible in Feedly
-
I was able to read two blog posts from someone else’s blog (self hosted wordpress blog) through Feedly today, but when I clicked through to her site, it turns out the posts are password protected. I’m assuming this is some sort of flaw that I was able to view these posts anyway through my reader?

Might be she turned private after some time when the reader has already pulled the post . Can you do it with other private posts ?

Hi there,
I just checked that blog’s feed and the content from those password-protected posts aren’t included there: http://seattlepolychick.com/feed/
If a post is published publicly and then password-protected later, it’s possible for feed readers like Feedly to cache the content. It may take some time for Feedly to refresh the blog’s feed after posts are password-protected.
However, if a post is password-protected before being published, the content will never appear in the feed and services like Feedly won’t be able to see the content.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
