password protected posts

  I have password protected posts which I’d like to make public but I have lost the password. How can I recover this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi. I had the same problem, the fix is actually pretty easy.

  Go here: https://wordpress.com/posts/ndenning.wordpress.com

  You’ll see a list of all your posts.

  1. Click on the three dots to the right of the password protected post. That will open a drop-down menu, click on ‘Edit’.

  2. After the editor opens, there will be a menu on the right-hand side, click on ‘Status’. It should say ‘Password Protected’.

  3. Click on that menu and choose ‘Public”, then click on the Update button on the top right corner.

  That should work. If you have any problems, just come back to the Forum and we can work it out.
