Password Protected Posts Not Protected in RSS Feed
-
The link to the blog I am referring to is http//thewildmind.wordpress.com I wrote and password protected a post and a reader notified me today that the post appeared in its entirety without having to use the password in his RSS feed. How can I prevent this from happening, and what’s the point of password protecting a post if you can’t really password protect it in RSS too? I tried searching before posting this question, didn’t get anywhere, so here I am.

What RSS feed reader is he using?
This is what I get when I look at the RSS Feed, “Protected: How Much Conversation Can A Relationship NOT Have?

Thanks for checking on that for me. Here is some more information. I’m so new to RSS feeds I’m not sure what it all means.
Here what my reader told me about his RSS feed:
“The RSS reader I use is Viigo. Here are more details about the password protection issue. I get a feed from WordPress directly from your blog site. That one showed the password protection. I also get a feed from anything tagged with “Dating”. Anyway, that one didn’t show the password protection, showing the whole blog post instead. So, that is the feed that isn’t doing what it should.”Is this a WordPress glitch or something I personally need to fix or something else altogether?

I think you need to alert staff via the Contact Support button. They’ve been fiddling with feeds a bit lately and it’s possible there’s a bug.
