Password-protected site areas

Out of curiosity, and apologies if there’s a topic already designated for this (and if so, you’re welcome to forward the link to me) but I’m wondering if there’s a way to enter content/videos for purchase to an area of the WordPress site with a protected password/access code. (And continually enter content in this manner with different passwords for each new video uploaded) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not really. One can password protect a page, post a Paypal donation button on another orders page, and once the payment has been received they can provide the URL for the password protected page on a wordpress.COM blog. However, that’s very clumsy and IMO you will be better served to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting and set up your own wordpress.ORG software install.

We provide support only for blogs hosted by wordpress.COM. We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs. You are posting to the wrong support forum. We cannot help you.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
