Password Protecting entire Site

  Is it possible to just add a password or username/password combo to protect an entire site? I don’t want everyone to be able to see the whole site and it would be a pain for my users to have to type a password in every time they change pages.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can make the entire blog private. See option 3 here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  You can make posts and/ or pages either private or password protected.
