password protection doesn't work on a page

  I have designated a page to be password protected, but it does not ask for a password, and shows the whole page.

  The reason you’re not being asked to enter a password on “Click here for details!” is because you’ve set that as your Posts page in your Settings -> Reading page.

  Instead of marking that entire page as password protected, you’ll need to set each of your posts as password protected. For instructions, please see:
