Password protection for posts gone

    hi. i wanted to change the theme of my wp site.
    but when i changed it, the password protection disappeared. u can go take a look at the site. i just created it so theres no real content. but i would really like to know how to enable the password protection again.

    the password box disappeared with every theme i tried. (5-7)

    The blog linked to your username is displaying the Grid Focus theme and I do see the password protected post.

    If you are still experiencing this problem then please note that Volunteers answering forum questions do not have backend access to blogs and cannot apply technical fixes, only Staff can do that.     1. Some issues that you encounter with your WordPress.com blog or account can be solved by changing your browser settings, refreshing the page, or clearing the browser cache and cookies.     2. Some issues can be resolved by using another browser? If you haven’t tried another one then I suggest that you do.

    3. Lastly, when contacting Staff in order to avoid a time delay in finding a solution and applying it please do not forget to include details in your support ticket. Staff need to know what operating system you are using, which browser and version of it you are using, if you tried another browser or not and what the results were.

    Supplying these details up front in your support ticket means Staff won’t have to employ back and forth email exchange with you in order to obtain relevant details and that means they can identify the source of the problem and provide a solution quickly.

    @markiasu — The password-protected settings are not tied to a specific theme, so they should not change when you switch a theme.

    u can go take a look at the site.

    The site linked from your profile, theworstday.wordpress.com has a password-protected post that looks like it’s working correctly.
