Password Recovery
-
I was trying to reset a new password for another WordPress.com account.
But after I’ve clicked the link sent to my email, it shows the below message:
Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid.’I’ve also tried an email login link but I got the same result.
Appreciate it if anyone can help me. Thank you

Hello Ace,
If this is for a account here at WordPress.com, please contact support for help: https://wordpress.com/help/contact.

Thanks for your response!
I’ve tried but I can’t make it because I don’t have sufficient information to provide.
Like the URL of the specific blog and the proof of ownership.
That is why I ask for support here, thanks.

@qwe012345asd what is the URL of the site (or at least one site) associated with the account you are trying to access? We can look it up in our system based on that and let you know what we find, thanks!

Just adding : @nm1com there’s no reason to point @qwe012345asd back to the contact form since they’ve already posted there. Because they have a free website, their query was routed to the community forums.

First and foremost, thank you, Jerry, Jennifer, and nm1.
Jerry, I think there is a format in URL for free users, right? Like if the user name was 123456, then the URL should be 123456.wordpress.com
If in that case, I don’t remember neither the username nor the URL. But I can provide you the email that associated with that account which is (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Jerry, Jennifer, and nm1.
I’ve tried requesting password recovery and login via a link sent to my email regularly. It just allowed me to login via the log-in link although I don’t know the reason why it doesn’t work in the past until now as it always showing a message “Sorry, that key does not appear to be valid”. Anyway, I just changed the password and now be able to log in to my account, thank you so much for your awesome support here! Have a great day!
Regards,
Ace
