I was told from friends trying to read my blog that it required a password when clicking on the link. I pursued the suggestions in past posts and I’ve verified my blogs are set to public and verified that the website itself was also public. With these changes a password is still required when an external device attempts to click on the blog link. Any help is much appreciated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello!

I checked your site and noticed that one of your posts (The Curse of the Grand Valley) is actually linked to the Post Editor instead of the published article slug (URL).

Given this, anyone who tries to open your “The Curse of the Grand Valley” post will be greeted with the WordPress.com log in screen.

This is expected because it leads to the Post Editor, which is not accessible by non-logged in users.

💡 To resolve this, I suggest editing your “Home” page and updating the link URL to https://ricowrites18.wordpress.com/2023/02/15/the-curse-of-the-grand-valley/.

Here’s a guide you can refer to:

    WP
WordPress Editor » Add Links in the Editor
    in WordPress.com Support
    4 min read
A link is a word, a group of words, or an image that you can click on to go to a new page. This guide will show you how to create links on your site. Add Links to TextMethod One: The Link ButtonMethod Two: Copy and PasteMethod Three: Type [[ Edit an Existing LinkRemove an Existing LinkOpen a Link in a New TabAdd Links to ImagesBlogrollLinking Images in the Classic Editor Add Links to Text

Additionally, I noticed you’re manually showing your posts on the Home page.

I suggest using the Blog Posts block, which provides rich features you can use to enhance your home page :)

To learn more about the Blog Posts block and how to use it, check this guide:

    WP
    Blocks » Blog Posts Block
    in WordPress.com Support
    5 min read
Use the Blog Post block to insert a list or grid of up to 100 blog posts (or pages, testimonials, or projects!) on any page. You can choose to show content based on category, author, or tag, display featured images or excerpts, change the text color, and more. Add the Blog Posts BlockBlock ToolbarBlock WidthViewsMedia LocationImage ShapeBlock SettingsStylesDisplay SettingsFeatured Image Setti

As an alternative, you can check the Query Loop block for more features:

    WP
Theme Blocks » Query Loop Block
    in WordPress.com Support
    9 min read
The Query Loop block allows you to display posts based on parameters you specify. This block is similar to the Blog Posts Block, but with greater complexity and flexibility, allowing you to create things like a portfolio of projects or a page full of your favorite recipe posts.
