  hi. i am using my sister’s acc to post this thread. my blog add is overshadow.wordpress.com, username shimin86. someone has changed my password without my acknowledge n i predict that it is linked to the situation where my email address used for this blog acc is also hacked. both my email n blog account has got the same password hence explaining why it was hacked together.

  therefore i am unable to retrieve my password for my blog acc under the email address of (email visible only to moderators and staff) as i am unable to log into this email. thus is it possible to use another email for my password to be retrieved?

  I suggest that since you will need to sort out your email address anyway you do that first and then follow the “lost password” procedure:

  Change or Reset Your Password

  I would guess that WordPress are unlikely to just give you a new password with only your say-so that you are the owner and your email was hacked. You could try contacting them though at

  @thepastwithanewoutfit Your email is critically important as that’s how we validate your identity. That’s the first place to start. You’ll want to work with Microsoft to recover your email account.

  After that, you can then reset your password here:
  http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  @tandava108 thanks alot.

  @hewsut i really need help cause hotmail is not replying fast. N someone who has my password is now deleting posts from my blog. i m afraid by the time i m done settling with my email side, my post might all be gone or even deleted.

  another scenario i am afraid of is that hotmail might not even allow me to reset my password then how am i gg to retrieve my blog?
