password reset-
-
I have a wordpress account that controls multiple inactive blogs such as http://www.daredtomove.com. It hasn’t been that long ago that I last logged in (within three months i believe). However I’ve tried pretty much every password I’ve ever used and cant log in. When I ask for log in emails or password reset emails I dont receive anything (I’ve checked the spam folders). I dont have two factor authentication, or an activation key(its been years and years since that account was activated), or a paypal ID (likewise, I haven’t sent a payment to wordpress in a while that I can remember). This leaves me with no clear way to reset the password to the account. I’m not really sure what options I have now.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you trying password resets whilst logged in to this new account? The site you mention has the username searchforsimplicity. Is that you? Have you tried logging in with that username and your password? If that doesn’t work then I’m afraid you do need access to the email address associated with the account to reset a password:

@magic I do have access to the email that was attached to it. I am just not receiving any emails when I try to reset it. Searchforsimplicity is me yes, but no passwords I have ever used seem to work. I can easily prove its mine, I own some of the domains attached outside of wordpress. There just isnt a clear way to contact customer service as the advaced account recover page requires you to either use a paypal ID, authentication key, or two factor authentication. None of which I have.

Hi there,
We have sent several password reset emails to the address on file for that account, but they are all bouncing back with an error that the email address no longer exists, so I don’t think you have access to the email address for that account. That means the account recovery form is the only way to regain access.

Your ownership of a domain that is mapped to a WordPress.com account does not prove you own the WordPress.com account. The items mentioned on the account recovery form are the only forms of verification we accept, no exceptions.
There are several upgrades on that account, and for each payment for those upgrades there exists a transaction ID on PayPal’s system, or there will be a unique code next to the transaction on the statement for the card used to make the payment. So if you own the card that was used to pay for these upgrades, you will have access to the transaction IDs we require for verification.
