Password Reset Email

  I have an account with Gravatar.com and its telling me to login through wordpress.com.
  I forgot my password and I’m not receiving the ‘password reset’ email.

  Does WordPress.com not work with Outlook? because my other wordpress account is registered with Gmail and it receives the ‘password reset’ email just fine.

  What do I do? How can I contact wordpress.com support?

  Hi There-

  Have you looked in your spam/junk folders to see if the email has gone there?

  Also here is some more info on resetting WordPress.com passwords and how to recover your account:

  Hi there-

  Yes I have looked in my spam/jumk folder but there’s nothing there..

  Yes, that’s right. Gravatar powers the user avatars on WordPress.com and the two accounts are linked automatically.

  Thanks for checking — our system shows a password reset email has been sent. If you can’t find it in your spam folder we’ll need you to fill out the Account Recovery form:

  Proof of ownership

  1. I dont have a transaction ID because I signed up for Gravatar.

  2. I dont have my initial activation key because I thought I would never need this again..

  3. I dont have 2 step authentication setup.

  I have access to my email account.. you can send me a personal message and I will receive it. Im receiving emails from everyone except the “password reset” email from wordpress.com

  I dont have a website to show reference because I only signed up to use Gravatar.

  This is the error im getting when I try to fill out the account recovery form:

  “Sorry but the website you gave does not exist on WordPress.com. Is it a self-hosted WordPress.org website?”

  Hello,
  I am having a similar problem only I can log into my website tiffanysfit4life.com with no problem. I do not receive the wordpress password reset link to my email (email visible only to moderators and staff) of which I not only have access to but have also received other emails from. I have also white listed (email visible only to moderators and staff) to make sure that I can receive the email.

  My username is “tiffanys” and I just need access to my wordpress.com page so that I can make the updates I need to Gravatar. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

  I am not sure what you meant when you said: You sent an email to the account connected to the email address..

  My email address is (email visible only to moderators and staff) and I don’t seen an email from you in my inbox. I have received emails from other people throughout the weekend.

  Hi javier417,

  I’ve looked into this further and it appears your mail provider is blocking WordPress.com emails — which is why you are able to receive emails from other people but not those sent by WordPress.com.

  While one password reset email was sent successfully, the rest have been blocked. Can you check your blocked sender list and see if WordPress.com is listed there?

  There isn’t anything we can do to unblock these emails from our end but I can suggest a couple of things which may help. If you are able to unblock our emails, the password reset email should come through and help you access the account.

  Let me know if we appear in your block list.

  Im really tired of going through this I dont know why Outlook has an issue with WordPress. (my gmail account works fine with wordpress.com)

  Can you please just send me a regular email so that I can confirm ownership of the email address?..

  then I can give you a new email address to add to the account so that I can log in already.
