Password Reset Error

  Hi there I am having issues resetting a password for a website. The password reset link is not coming through to the admin email address.
  I have a previously backed up version of the website and I am thinking of reinstalling WordPress on the domain and uploading the back up to try rectify this issue.
  Would this process work or would I be stuck with the same issue having to input a password that cannot be remembered?

  Since your site is not here on our servers, we don’t have access to your data. But I may be able to point you in the right direction.

  First contact your host to be sure you have backups and can access the hosting side of your site, then read all of these these instructions from WordPress.org to determine which method you want to use to regain access to your installation:

  As long as you can log into your hosting account, you should be able to regain access. If you need more help, head to to the forums for self-hosted sites at https://wordpress.org/support
