Password reset problem

I subscribe to different blogs at wordpress.com I have lost my password but when I try to use the password recovery function I get a msg that my username or email does not exist. This can’t be as I am still receiving notifications from the various blogs. The account recovery option does not work either. Please help. This really has nothing to do with my blog url as I only created that to ask this question.
