password/username needed to see post?…
-
I just joined and copied and pasted my first post–HI WORDPRESS BLOG– from my email and sent the URL to someone elses email and they said they received it but cannot view it because a username/password is first required. I have set my wordpress settings to the ‘public’ so anyone can view. What is needed to send the URL to someone and no password/username needed
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I’ve had a look a look at your site and can’t see a post called ‘HI WORDPRESS BLOG’ on john4444blog.wordpress.com.
Can you paste the URL you sent them, into your reply to me?
Then I’ll take a look for you.

When I click on “my site” I see my post of “HI WORDPRESS BLOG”– here is the URL that I sent to the person and they couldn’t see the blog–just a box asking for a username and password.
https://wordpress.com/posts/john4444blog.wordpress.comMy other question I submitted to the forum was I want my post to be exactly as I typed it–not with a really big “H” that I saw.

Hi,
The link you shared will take them through to a list of posts in your WordPress.com account — which is why they are being asked to enter a username and password.
If you wanted to send them a link to an individual post on your site, the URL would look something like this:
The post will need to have been published in order for them to be able to view the link.
Come back to me if you have any questions.

In answer to the question on your other thread:
I want my post to be exactly as I typed it–not with a really big “H” that I saw.
That is a feature of the Libretto theme you’ve chosen. On the theme demo, you’ll see the first letter of the first word is displayed this way:
