Past Posts in Italics

I just noticed that past posts are fully in italics. It wasn’t like that until this afternoon. The first paragraph is the only part that is supposed to be in italics. I looked at it in the editing page, and that shows it as I meant to be – only the first paragraph in italics. Also, if you click on the post, it is correct. It’s only on the main page that has the whole post in italics. How do I change the settings to make it appear the way I would like?

Open your latest post in the editor, switch to HTML mode and you have a malformed (and unneeded em tag after “Bunker Builder Extraordinaire.” Delete the following at the end of that post.

I deleted the after Bunker Builder Extraordinaire, and I still have my past posts in all italics. Is there something else that is malformed, maybe in the Who’s Bad Build post that makes it all stay in italics until you click on the post heading? I’m not sure why that whole post is in italics on the homepage.

Oh wow – I just noticed that putting the html code that I deleted caused the paragraph above to go into italics. Oops.

I’m not seeing the italics in the paragraph above in either Firefox or in Safari. Did you get this fixed?

I deleted the html codes on that old post, updated, then redid the italics on the first paragraph and now it seems to be working properly :/ It’s bizarre because just changing it from italics to normal and back again didn’t work, but the manual deletion of the code and then resetting italics worked great. Thanks for the tip!

It could have been that there was a tag outside of the text that you selected and changed. I just checked the W3C XHTML validation report and you are clean except for 1 error that I think is an error in the theme itself rather than anything you did. I think you are good to go.
