The paste from Microsoft Word icon is missing?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We have removed the “Paste as Word” button from the toolbar, but this should not affect your ability to paste Word documents into WordPress.com.
-
Yes, I can paste the raw text, but all the formatting is lost. Please restore the functionality that Past from Word icon previously supplied.

This change comes with an update to the software that powers the editor. I’ve updated the sticky note I posted previously with more information.

You should also now be able to paste text directly from Word without a problem, but if you do need the plain text paste option, you still have that as well.

I understand this change, removing the paste Word icon, is part of larger changes. However, I think you will find that most people work like me. I start with a Word document and then post this into the WordPress site. What you have done is to make this process that much harder. For example, previously this was not perfect, but I could past Word formatted tables into a blog entry. I can’t imagine doing this now.

I understand. Changes like this are important, but we recognize that sometimes they can affect individual workflows in ways we can’t anticipate. If I have any additional information or workarounds to pass along, I’ll update the sticky.

Previously, I could reliably cut and past from Word into WordPress. The formatting in Word would be maintained, with the exception of the odd table where the formatting might have to be adjusted by hand. Now, I have to go through and touch every paragraph, if only to ensure spacing between these. Am I the only person to work this way or to be affected by these changes?

Our developers have deployed a fix that should allow at least some of the rich text formatting to be retained when pasting from Word in Firefox. There may be additional updates coming as well.
