  why does The Paste from Word box not display properly?

  It seems to be working fine for me.

  First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting http://whatbrowser.org/

  If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

  If it is, please do these four things:

  1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

  2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

  3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

  4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

  Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

  I am still experiencing the same problem after following the directions. When I click on the paste from word option, I get a partial box and the cursor defaults to the body text space. It does not allow me to put the word file into the paste from word box. That option may have been corrupted somehow (operator error is not unlikely). At any rate, I would like to get it back. Thanks.

  Ok, just so we can rule-out a browser-specific issue, would you please try a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome?

  I am uncomfortable about having two browsers on my desktop. I’m perfectly happy with ei9. The Paste From Word option worked on ei9 before. Why not now?

  I’m not sure, it’s working in IE 9 for me.

  If you don’t mind trying a different browser, that would help us determine if it’s something on your computer affecting all browsers or just your IE 9 configuration.

  Browsers like Firefox and Chrome also have much better support for standard web coding practices and modern web technologies than IE 9.

  Thanks for your input, but I think I may have solved it. IE 9 inserts an annoying bar at the bottom of the window that says something like ‘only secure content displayed’. When I clicked the option ‘show all content’ and the bar went away, I was able to access the Paste From Word option. Is there a way to disable this annoying pop-up bar? Thanks again.

  Does it go away if you enable or disable HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/ ?

  Yes, the security bar did not appear once I enabled HTTPS. Thanks also for the last link. I’ll add my site to trusted sites.
