Paste Table from Excel

    Hi everyone – until today I was able to post formatted tables directly from excel. It would appear in wordpress as a properly spaced table without any formatting help needed.

    As of today, it only posts the raw data but does not space it out.

    Has there been an update to the wordpress software? How will I be able to paste formatted tables in as of today?

    Hi @formulaonetopten, I don’t have Excel to test it, but do regularly post tables from other spreadsheets. I just did a test from Google Sheets, and that does still seem to be working for me today.

    If you were to paste from Excel into Google sheets, then copy the data from Google Sheets and paste that into your site, does that make any difference? I’m just trying to determine if it’s something with Excel, or perhaps something unique to your situation.

    If you can share a link to an affected post or page, that’d be great, too.
