Pasted text with links code shows code
-
For my first post to my first blog, I tried to paste in an item from my MovableType blog.
But when I went to preview the WP post showed up with all the code.
Here’s what I pasted in:
Intelligent design: New Laboratory Robot Can Lift The Burden Of Boring Work
Word Press sees that as
Intelligent design: New Laboratory Robot Can Lift The Burden Of Boring Work
So it is evidently seeing the <‘s as <’s.
Can this be over-ridden or worked around? I have placed the text in Text Edit to strip out invisible codes, if any. But this seems to be something to do with the WYSIWYG word press editor. Am I correct?

if there is any code in there that is java, script, iframe it won’t post. We can’t use that kind of code. Did it include that kind of code? We can use html.

Well, that didn’t quite show what was happening in the code section, but I hope you get the general idea.

When you want to display code in the forum so we can look at it, you have to put it between backticks, those little things on the same key as the ~.
So it would look like
backtick, code goes here, then another backtick to close the "code" boxLike that.
