Pasting JPEG file onto a page
-
I think this is a simple question, but I just can’t find the answer. I am creating a page, and I want to insert a JPEG file on the page. How do I do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

With the new page open in the editor, you click on the “add image” button at the top of the editor tool bar (dark square in a frame). It works the same as inserting an image into a post.

This FAQ is a little outdated, but I think you will get the idea. As I said, inserting an image into a page is the same as inserting it into a post.

Oh Great SacredPath–
Thanks for the help. This seems to work for JPEG files, but I can’t seem to paste in the image from a PDF file. Am I missing some sort of secret sauce? -
WordPress does not have a built-in PDF interpreter, so all you can do is link to the PDF file. Your viewers then click on the link and it opens in their browser or in Adobe Reader.

You upload and insert it just like you would an imaqe. Put the cursor in the post where you want the link to be. Go through the upload process and when you insert, it will put into your post, the name of the file as the link. You can then edit the link text if you wish.
