Pasting Markdown into WordPress HTML Editor

  So according to the support pages, WordPress.com has a text editor when posting. I enabled Markdown. Text editor is unavailable, just the visual and html editor. Any help would be appreciated. It should show up that there is a text editor available. The Markdown does not format. Any help would be appreciated.

  Sounds like your using the “new” editor, which is proving troublesome for MANY WordPress.com users. If the markdown isn’t working in the HTML editor, then you’ll (at least for now) need to switch to the “classic” editor :

  http://machistteachertech.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php

  Or for a new post from your Dashboard :

  Post –> Add New
