  Hello I want to disable my site while I reformat all the pages and images….I don’t want people to stumble onto a ‘half done’ site….

  Hi there, if your site is hosted here on WordPress.com, you can change the privacy settings for your site to either Coming Soon or Private. That will not allow anyone to see it, including search engines.
