Pay annual subscription.

I have recently been added as an Administrator for a Site but the previous Administrator is still also identified. I have added my Card details successfully. The current Subscription lapses in about 21 days. How can I pay with my Card please?

Hi there,
Only the username who originally bought an upgrade is able to renew it. Other admins on the site cannot renew an upgrade. So renewal for your domain, alnwickinbloom.com, can only be done by the username, alnwickfoe
If your account should be the owner of the domain going forward, I will need the current owner to please reply here to request I transfer the domain to your account. Once you own the domain you will be able to pay for the renewal.
Also note that the other account is also the owner of the site, so cannot be removed as an admin on the site. The only way to remove them is if they transfer ownership of the entire site to your account. If you prefer that, they can follow the instructions here:

That will transfer both the site and any connected upgrades to your account and you will become the new owner.

The previous owner has now transferred alnwickinbloom.com. to me (John Jones) and I have both recorded my details such as name/e-mail/address etc and also my credit card details. The site now indicates “auto-renewal” on
26 October 2016 (UK Date) for $18/annum.I hope I have set up everything correctly so that renewal can be done. Are you able to tell me whether everything is now OK? Many thanks in anticipation of your help.

It looks like everything’s okay, yes. Autorenew is active, so your domain should renew within the next week.

Hello John,
We had some issues with domain transfers this week, so I just checked up that your domain wasn’t affected, and I noticed that automatic renewal has been deactivated again. Did you do it?
If not, please make sure that you have payment details added to the domain upgrade on the Purchases page, and if you see a Renew Now option, click that to immediately renew the domain so it won’t expire on 9 November.

I really do not know what is happening. I have re-re-renewed. It says it will do so.
It also says that my Credit Card which expires in 02 2017. Should be renewed. I know that but I am unable to do so currently because I do not have a new card, being only October 2016. I am in Contact with MasterCard to see whether they can rush me a new Card. I am waiting on them. I had to tell them it was WordPress.
If this does not work I have to give up altogether. I have a health condition called “Heart Failure” which requires me to have a relatively stress free life with a USA made device implanted called an “ICD” which does work very well.
Meanwhile, I do not know what I would do without you. Many many thanks for all your help.

I have now received an E-mail which I think means that I have now either been billed for payment ($3+$15)=$18 or actually paid. I will await to see the outcome -
Your domain is showing as renewed until 2017 now, so all is well. The renewal you tried today went through and auto renew is now active with that card.
Sorry for the trouble, but everything should work correctly from here.

Many many thanks kookieh. The payment is shown as a pending transaction on my MasterCard and so tomorrow I expect it will it show as a transaction. I’ll now get on with the really interesting stuff.
