Pay by monthly?

I just purchased a theme to upload into WordPress and then realised I have to pay for a business plan which is like $400!! I thought I’d be able to set it up without paying until I public it or at least be charged monthly. Who can I contact about this? Thanks

Hi there, uploading a custom 3rd party theme to your WordPress.com website can only be done under the WordPress.com business or e-commerce plan.
At this time, plans are paid up front for the full year, but if you decide that the plan doesn’t meet your needs, you do have 30 days from the date of purchase to request a refund on everything except custom domain name registration, which has to be cancelled within 96 hours of purchase to qualify for a refund.

I have a registered domain name but that is already active. So if I use a temporary word press domain for the sake of trailing for 30 days, its the temporary domain that will be cancelled correct?
Where do I go to obtain the refund? I very unsure about this, it’s alot to spend to just trial something.

Hi Alana,
Actually you don’t seem to be logged into the account that you used to make the purchase. We sent an invoice to the address you used for purchase. Can you log out, and log back in using that email or username?
Then if you’re logged in as that correct user, you can access chat-based support here:
https://wordpress.com/help/contact
You’ll be able to get a refund there, opt to keep the domain or not, etc.

Also, if you were asking about a refund for the theme you purchased, can you contact the folks you bought it from?
