Pay for Domain using Paypal

  Hi
  I was filling out the form for purchasing my domain.
  When i press Purchase and chose Paypal, a crédit car number is requested.
  Why is that, if i want to use the money already in my Paypal account?

  I’m looking into this subject in the Paypal support.

  This is all I know. The only methods of payment for upgrades are major credit cards from approved countries and PayPal supported countries. There are no other payment options. WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/

  Hi there – as a fraud-prevention mechanism, PayPal sometimes requires that an account be linked to a credit card, even when the PayPal account itself carries balance. PayPal support should be able to provide additional information if you need more detail.

  I’ve already contacted PayPal support about this subject.
  I’ve been informed that the “Bank account validation”[1] method is not supported for all countries (Portugal in my case).
  In these situations, credit card method is mandatory.
