Our website (sunshinecoastminimakerfaire.com) has been paid for by one person and now we want to switch that to another person. I can not for the life of me figure out how to do that. My handle is @blairwilsoncommentary and when I go to manage plan it says ‘Upgrade now’. I want to renew not upgrade right? When I click upgrade it asks me to select which site, once I select the site it sends me back to the page I originally clicked ‘manage plans’ on. This has got to be the most confused interface I have ever seen. On another page it says I have no CC on file but offers no button to add one. Please call or write so that I may give you money. Thanks, Dave

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and their associated email address.

The blog’s owner must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades to renew them, or to transfer the blogs and the upgrades to another username account.

Oops! Editing to to include missing words:

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and their associated email address.

Thanks that makes sense. Pity they don’t say something to that effect on their management screens instead of just having you loop around in a circle. Something like “Manage Plan”…”You are an admin of this blog but only the owner can renew. See also “how to transfer ownership”

Maybe Staff need to add that. I’ll tag this thread for their attention.

If you have the user that currently owns the upgrade post to this forum thread and make the request, I can make the switch for you.

Thanks Rootjosh. The renewal date isn’t until April 23rd and my partner will be back long before then and we can manage the transfer ourselves.

My request would be that you have your user experience person use the admin panel in the role I am currently in and then update it to make sense. Because currently a user can follow all the links thinking that they are getting somewhere except that they only end up where I started. No explanation and no clue. It gives a bad impression of the thought or lack of it that goes into your management screens

That is useful feedback. Thank you for taking the time to type it out.
