Pay in monthly installments

It seems I am stuck…I currently own a domain on web hosting platform: Wix.com. My domain is tellusgeo.com. Up until now I have been paying a web developer to make my website but I wanted to try Elementor Pro. However, I did not realise before purchasing Elementor Pro that you need a WordPress Business Plan. This costs £260 which i can not afford right now. I could however pay in monthly installments but there doesn’t seem to be an no option for this in the checkout stage. I want to transfer my domain/web hosting platform from Wix over to WordPress so i can utilise Elementor Pro. Please can WordPress allow me to pay for a Business Plan in monthly installments?

  • Absolutely. You can certainly pay for a plan monthly.

It does work out more expensive across 12 months compared to a 1-year plan, but it means you can spread out the payments as you say.

To do that, either head to the plans page here – https://wordpress.com/plans/

Then select the option from the drop-down menu for the monthly option.

    OR

If the site is tellusgeo.wordpress.com then you can get there directly by using this URL – https://wordpress.com/plans/monthly/tellusgeo.wordpress.com?

You can pay monthly but I wouldn’t advise you to do so. It works out to be a very expensive solution. When I look on my site and click on Upgrades I see “Pay yearly up to 62% off”. Next to that is an arrow with a dropdown menu. The monthly option is at the bottom but would be 62% more expensive over the course of a year. I’d advise saving up until you can afford a paid plan. You could of course start with a cheaper plan and upgrade later if you need to. Also I feel Elementor is not really required these days as WordPress full site editing allows you to achieve similar results.
