Pay Now Button on WordPress page
-
I used to work nightshift, so I completely understand. One last question. I don’t know what you mean by this statement. “Make sure you link the picture in editor to your paypal / purchase link.”
-
Gosh, haven’t been into my paypal for an age…
Ok, so you go to Summary > My Selling Tools > Manage My Buttons > update >
Edit Button (to assign $ name it etc)
or View Code and you’ll see that ’email link’
That’s what you copy (it’s just a url) and assign to a paypal pic that you want to use (just copy and save one) -
Yes, if you do it their way: you put that email (url) link there if you can get it to work for you…
If not try what I just commented by copying your own picture and adding the link manually; see?

This from the paypal website…
Save and publish the page. (Please note, the preview function in your editor may not display the button code correctly.)
Test the button to make sure it links to a PayPal payment page. -
It didn’t work. I see the picture of the “Buy it Now” button but it didn’t work when I tried it like Paypal said. So, your way… I think I am stumped on the assigning the email url link to the paypal pic. Can you walk me through that?
-
You’ve just made me realise that one of my paypal links is still on my website and not deleted, I’ll leave it there for a while, so you can check it out.. you just click on a picture of the arrows here at my about page
Hope it works out for you.

Sure, when you have the picture you want:
1: go to edit picture
2: link to ‘Custom URL’Here’s the step by step on Links for Images / Pictures Now that’s for a post or page etc.
If you want it for the sidebar, much easier if you want to promote it (Image Widget) Check out this forum thread, it’s pretty straightforward.

I am going to try to find a youtube video, as this is just not clicking with me. Thank you so much for trying… Rest up!

Shall do, good luck… I’ll mark it for ‘modlook’ as a tag a staff member will check it out for you

Hi @p31earthmama,
Happy to help here. Could you let me know what page or post on your site you’re trying to add the button to? Also, could you let me know exactly what step you’re getting stuck on here?
-
Thanks for getting back to me. I figured it out with a youtube video and trial and error. It was frustrating because several steps looked different than on my screen. Basically, I am trying to have an event and have people purchase meals for the 3-day conference. I had to create a button for each meal option, which is quite annoying since I cannot do a drop down menu. Yet, it will work well enough, I think.

Really sorry for the frustrating experience. I’m glad you were able to get a workable version though. Please let us know if you need anything else!
