Pay Pal buttons don't work!

Please help! I am putting up two (different) pay pal buttons and they don’t work (don’t link to pay pal – gets to pay pal error screen but the programming information has been verified as correct). Is there any special trick to getting pay pal <form action> code to work on wordpress.com? I am using the full frame theme (highly customized with html & css, so a bit unrecognizable at first glance)

They do work if and only if you follow the instructions here http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/ to the letter. Note that any other code will be stripped out.

Thank you for the response. I have been through this page and am a bit confused. I am not the original creator of the pay pal information (doing this for someone) and don’t have access to the Email tab mentioned. They sent me the full <form action> code to use. Is the https address within the correct one to use or do I need something else?

If you didn’t setup the PayPal button, and it includes form elements, then it might be something that won’t work on WordPress.com at this time.
Can you setup a simpler payment button? The help page includes exact steps for how to do it on the Paypal side:
