  When copying the html code generated through PayPal buttons into the HTML block, an error occurs after updating the page.

  Can you try these steps to add the code instead of the code you’re trying? https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

  The steps to get the code are a little different than what PayPal offers, and it might be that you need to adjust what’s being pasted into the block.
